As a Security Analyst Intern at Ruleset Security, you will support our Cyber team in evaluating and enhancing client security postures, identifying risks, and contributing to critical cybersecurity initiatives. This role provides valuable, practical exposure to industry-leading practices in protecting information and securing environments. You’ll develop insights into effective cybersecurity strategies and work closely with experienced professionals who are dedicated to delivering tailored security solutions for our clients.

In this position, you will:

• Assist in monitoring security alerts and analyzing data to identify potential threats.

• Support incident response efforts by investigating and documenting security incidents.

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist in patch management processes.

• Collaborate with the team to develop threat intelligence reports and improve security measures.

• Learn to utilize security tools and platforms to enhance monitoring and response capabilities.

• Participate in team meetings, contributing insights and learning about industry best practices.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging threats, tools, and techniques in cybersecurity.]

• Assist in assessing security needs, conducting analysis, and identifying areas for improvement.

job qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.

• Familiarity with security tools, such as SIEM, endpoint protection, or firewalls, is a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

• Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of network security fundamentals is a bonus.
